Abstract

This paper presents the conception and the analysis of RF-DC conversion circuits at 2.45 GHz with microstrip line access, for a direct application on rectennas structures. To obtain accurate results, a global simulation which associate electromagnetic and circuit approaches has been performed on serial and bridge microwave rectifiers. To achieve high RF-DC conversion efficiencies with both structures, an optimization procedure based on Random and then Gradient methods was also conducted. A conversion efficiency higher than 70% in both cases has been obtained. Finally, measurements have been systematically compared to the simulated results in order to valid our approach.
